SPECIES SEEN

From 11/9/2009 to 11/15/09 ~  70

It was a good birding week along the Anza Trail.  Seventy species were seen or heard, and that compares with 57 in 2008 and 25 in 2007.  The numbers were impressive but the excitement was in the rarities.  A Rufous-backed Robin was seen along Santa Gertrudis Lane, a Tennessee Warbler at Bridge Rd. in Tubac, and a Peregrine Falcon on the Rio Rico section.  Some of the rarities reported last week were seen by other birders, but not me.
