53
SPECIES SEEN
11/24/08 to 11/30/2008
Walking the Anza Trail yielded 53 species this week. The best day was Tuesday when 13 birders from the "meet at the Deli at 8 AM group" ran into "the flock" just across from the Baca Float STP. The Bridled Titmice signaled their presence, and before they all passed about an hour later, we had 6 species of warbler and several other species. The warblers included late MacGillivray's, Wilson's, and Common Yellowthroat.
Though not rare, an uncommon Curved-billed Thrasher was seen just north of Rio Rico. The same section of trail revealed a Loggerhead Shrike.
