 ANZA DAYS 2009

For the first time along the trail we celebrated the historic colonizing expedition from Nogales to Maricopa this year.  Our hope is to celebrate Anza Days 2010 near as many campsite locations as possible.

Nogales

October 14, 1775 the colonizing expedition had traveled north from Mexico to stay in what is present day Arizona at Los Lagunas, Campsite #13.

Tubac

October 15, 1775 the colonizing expedition arrived at Presidio of Tubac and stayed several days preparing for the journey ahead, departing for Campsite #14 on October 23, 1775.

Marana

October 27, 1775 the colonizing expedition arrived at Campsite #19 in current day Marana.

Maricopa

November 7, 1775  the colonizing expedition arrived at Agua Caliente, Campsite #31.
