What is eScrip?
The eScrip program is the Anza Trail's single largest donation generator. eScrip, in conjunction with Safeway and others listed below, donates 1% of your purchases to the Anza Trail, at no cost to you.
If you shop at Safeway, every time you use your card and if your signed up to support the Anza Trail, a percentage of the money you spend every month goes to the trail! Someone got it started for us back in 2002 and we've continued to grow it to over 600 people.
If you've volunteered for us at an event you know the drill but the contributions work like this:
1% on monthly purchases between $0-$300
Plus 2% on monthly purchases between $300-$500
Plus 3% on monthly purchases between $500-$600
Plus 4% on monthly purchases above $600
For example: If your monthly purchases totaled $525.00 your contribution earned would be $7.75: $300 x 1% + $200 x 2% + $25 x 3% = $7.75
Your support through eScrip allows the Anza Trail Coalition to blaze new trail and plays a key role in supporting all our counties statewide. The Anza Trail Coalition of Arizona spends less than 2% of it's donations on administrative expenses. No member, officer, or coordinator is compensated in any fashion, further reducing our administrative overhead. Knowing this, your eScrip dollars go directly to the preservation of the Anza Trail.
